-Scholarships are available to physicians who reside in a developing country (as defined by the World Health Organization) and care for seriously ill patients.
-Preference will be given to applicants who are members of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine AAHPM (free virtual membership is available to physicians who reside in a nation on the HINARI list of eligible countries) have not previously attended the Annual Assembly are junior in their career, and whose organizations are considered least able to afford this opportunity.

Scholarship Description: The Developing Countries Scholarship Fund was established to provide access to quality education for physicians who reside in developing countries to attend the AAHPM and HPNA Annual Assembly in Vancouver. This scholarship program will provide financial support (up to $5,000) to physicians to learn the latest clinical information and research updates in hospice and palliative care from leading experts in the field. This scholarship program is intended to facilitate Annual Assembly participation and cover ordinary costs associated with meeting registration, travel-related expenses (air fare, cab fare, meals), and lodging.

Scholarship Description: The NUS PhD-MBA aims to attract and train talented students who have the potential to create and lead technology companies. It is jointly hosted by the NUS Graduate School for Integrative Sciences and Engineering and the NUS Business School. Students develop their research skills by doing a PhD in a scientific or engineering discipline. Concurrently they learn about business by working on an MBA. Internships provide practical experience.

About JISPA Scholarship
The Japan-IMF Scholarship Program for Asia (JISPA) was first introduced in 1993. It is funded by the Government of Japan, administered by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and conducted at various graduate schools in Japan. Its objective is to contribute to institutional capacity building in economic policymaking to promote the sustainable growth of emerging and developing economies in Asia and the Pacific. By training future macroeconomic managers in these countries, the JISPA aims to enable them to better formulate sound economic and financial stability policies needed for sustainable growth and development.
